Agreements & Policies

Please read carefully. By utilizing our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree to any of the terms outlined below, you are advised not to use our services.

A1 Limousines and its Affiliate Network reserve the right to modify, alter, or update these terms of use at any time. By continuing to use our services following any modifications, alterations, or updates, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

No Show Policy

Airport: If you fail to show up at the scheduled pickup time and location for the arrival flight information you provided, and there has been no contact with A1 Limousines after 20 minutes for domestic flights or 35 minutes for international flights, you will be considered a "No Show" and billed the full fee, including the base rate, driver gratuity, and any accumulated expenses. If you cannot locate your vehicle, DO NOT LEAVE! Call our office at 1-800-774-8383, and we will assist you in locating your reserved car.

Non-Airport: If you fail to show up at the scheduled pickup time and location, you will be billed the full charge for the quoted price, including the base rate, driver gratuity, and any accumulated expenses. If you do not see your driver at the pickup point, do not leave without calling the dispatch office at 800-774-8383. We will direct you to your chauffeur. If you leave without calling, you will be billed for the full price of the ride (or a no-show fee). The driver will wait up to 15 minutes after the scheduled pickup time. After that, the car will be released, and you will be billed a No Show fee, which will be the full price of the ride, plus any waiting time charges.

Cancellation Policy

All reservations are final. No refunds will be issued for cancellations. A1 Limousines understands that cancellations are sometimes necessary and unavoidable. Unless otherwise agreed to or provided in writing, the following applies: All sales and reservations are final and non-refundable, regardless of when the reservation was made and for any reason.

Waiting Time Policy

A 5-minute grace period is provided. After this period, waiting time charges will apply:

Sedan: $3.75 per minute
Luxury SUV: $6.00 per minute
Stretch Limousine: $7.50 per minute
Stretch SUV: $9.50 per minute
Limo Bus: $15.00 per minute

Airports & Train Stations: A1 Limousines grants a 10-minute grace period after the reported domestic flight arrival time and a 30-minute grace period after international flight arrivals. If the grace period expires and no contact is made, the vehicle will be dismissed, and a full charge will apply.

Charters (Hourly Service)

1 minute into the hour counts as a full hour charge.
Automatic 20% gratuity will be added to all charter reservations.
The hourly service price may vary based on location.
All trips to and from concerts and sporting events will be booked as hourly service.
Hourly service does not apply to out-of-state trips. Please ask for a quote.
Waiting time charges do not apply to hourly service.
Prom overtime charges must be pre-approved and pre-authorized.

Stops (Airport & Point-to-Point Transfers)

Extra stops, including airline stops, are charged a minimum of $250 per "en-route" stop, with a maximum 5-minute wait period. Additional wait time is charged at $15 per minute or the prevailing hourly rate in 3-hour increments.

Confirmations & Rates

A confirmation number is provided for every reservation, and a confirmation email is generated by the system. It is the traveler’s responsibility to review the confirmation information for accuracy.

Surface Transportation Charge (STC)

The STC is a surcharge based on various overhead expenses, which may not be directly related to the specific trip. The STC is calculated as a flat percentage of the base rate.

Fuel Surcharge

For sedan, limousine, and SUV services in the United States and Canada, the Fuel Surcharge is based on the Energy Information Agency's (EIA's) published fuel pricing forecasts. Quoted amounts may differ from billed amounts depending on the forecast in effect when services are provided. Fuel surcharges for specialty vehicles, such as vans, minibuses, and motor coaches, will vary.

Child Safety Seats

For safety reasons, A1 Limousines provides child safety or booster seats at an additional cost. However, customers are encouraged to bring and install their own child safety or booster seats to ensure age and weight-appropriate equipment.

Pet and Service Animals

Animals may only be transported in a kennel or soft-sided pet container. If the vehicle is damaged by the animal, a damage and/or cleaning fee may be charged. For passengers with disabilities traveling with a service animal, the animal is not required to be transported in a kennel or container.

Lost or Misplaced Items

A1 Limousines assumes no liability for lost or misplaced personal property. The company will not be responsible for belongings left in or out of the vehicle. A delivery fee may be charged to return lost items, equal to the rate of a Point-to-Point transfer plus 20% chauffeur gratuity.

Seating Capacity

The maximum seating capacity specified at the time of reservation must not be exceeded. Drivers are not authorized to exceed the number of passengers stated on your contract. Exceeding the number of passengers is a violation of state law and insurance guidelines.

Excessive Cleaning & Damages

If, during or after the transportation service, the company is required to expend an extended amount of time and materials to clean the vehicle due to acts of the client or any passenger (e.g., spilling food & drinks, vomiting, excessive trash), the company, at its discretion, will charge the client additional fees to cover such expenses. Any damage to the vehicle caused by the client or any passenger will be charged in full to the client. The minimum cleanup fee is $500.

Should the customer or their passengers vomit or leave other bodily fluids in the vehicle, the customer will be charged $1,000 directly to the credit card on file. A1 Limousine's chauffeur will gladly pull over at any time—provided it’s safe—when instructed to do so. Similarly, the customer's credit card shall be charged a minimum of $500 for any spills or burns in the interior that require excessive cleanup. This fee is necessary to cover costly cleaning charges and compensate for the time the vehicle cannot be used. The customer authorizes their credit card on file to be charged immediately should such an event occur.

Smoking Strictly Prohibited

Smoking in all vehicles is strictly prohibited. Smoking in the vehicle by the client or any passenger will result in an automatic minimum $1,200 charge. Any damage caused by smoking will also be charged to the client.

Alcohol Policy

Local drinking laws apply, and clients assume all responsibility associated with the consumption of alcohol while in the limousine. Chauffeurs will not supply or purchase alcohol for clients. A1 Limousines has zero tolerance for underage drinking. No underage drinking or possession of alcohol is permitted in any of our limos. Should this occur, the A1 Limousines chauffeur may terminate the trip with no refund, and the minors will be dropped off at a safe location.

Food

Eating is not allowed in the vehicles.

Behavior

Illegal activities, rough behavior, sexual activities, or lewd acts are not allowed in the vehicles at any time and will result in the termination of service with no refund. Authorities will be notified if necessary. Passengers must show respect and give full attention to the driver. The driver has the right to terminate the contract immediately if they feel disrespected. A1 Limousines will not be responsible for injuries that may occur due to horseplay while the vehicle is in motion or at a standstill.

Illegal, Immoral, or Sexual Activities

No sexual activities are allowed onboard our vehicles. No illegal or immoral activities are allowed inside the vehicles. Violation of this policy will result in the termination of the contract, plus a $100 cleaning fee charged to the card on file. The partition will not be closed. All partition controls are disconnected. The purchaser of the contract is responsible for their guests. Violations of these terms will result in the termination of the contract.

Vehicle

A1 Limousines will make every effort to provide a vehicle identical (in terms of model, size, color, etc.) to the customer’s request. However, A1 Limousines does not guarantee that an identical vehicle will be available for the customer’s use and shall not be liable if an identical vehicle is unavailable on the date of service. A1 Limousines does not guarantee the year, color, passenger capacity, model, type, or brand of vehicle. A1 Limousines will, at its discretion, dispatch a vehicle based on availability on the day and time of service.

Vehicle Substitution

A1 Limousines reserves the right to substitute and/or change the vehicle or the color of the vehicle at its discretion at any time, even during the reservation.

Seating Capacity

Our vehicle capacity is based on the average-sized person, with each seat measuring 17.5 inches in width. The customer is responsible for accommodating larger-than-average guests and should plan accordingly. If your party includes larger individuals, additional room may be required. If more than one vehicle is needed to accommodate your party, please contact us to make those arrangements. A1 Limousines shall not be liable for refunds related to seating capacity.

Objectionable Persons

The company reserves the right to refuse transportation to persons under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs, or to those who are or are likely to become objectionable to others, or if the chauffeur feels threatened in any way.

Baggage and Other Property Transported

A1 Limousines does not assume any responsibility for the handling or maintenance of any baggage, parcels, or other property. Baggage and all other personal property are handled at the client’s own risk. Baggage will be carried subject to available accommodations.

E-Mail Communication

A1 Limousines cannot accept new reservations, changes, or cancellations via email. It is recommended that you verbally confirm any requests sent after normal business hours or on major holidays. Changes or new reservations cannot be guaranteed without adequate notice. You should always receive an email confirmation for new reservations, changes, or cancellations. If you do not receive such confirmation, please contact us immediately.

Phone Calls & Conversations

Please note that all phone communications (conversations, voice calls, incoming or outgoing) are recorded. If you do not consent to this, please hang up. By continuing the conversation, you give permission to be recorded. Oral agreements can form legally binding contracts, and phone call recordings can serve as evidence of the contract's terms. They are legally admissible in court or for presentation to third parties such as financial institutions, merchant services, debt recovery agencies, or credit card processing companies.

Legal Services, Litigation Costs & Attorneys' Fees

The customer is held responsible for both parties' court costs, attorneys' fees, legal fees, and collection agency fees, regardless of the legal outcome. In the event that A1 Limousines or its Affiliate Network finds it necessary to employ an attorney to enforce any term or condition of this contract, the customer agrees to pay A1 Limousines for reasonable attorneys' fees, expenses, and costs incurred, including court costs. The venue for any cause of action arising out of this contract is set by the parties to be in a court of competent jurisdiction in DuPage County, Illinois. This contract shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.

Additional Charges

To avoid forfeiture of reservation fees, additional charges, or cancellations, pets, sports equipment, musical instruments, and excessive luggage must be disclosed at the time of booking. The following additional charges will be itemized on the customer billing statement when applicable: two-way tolls, stops, parking, meet and greet, airport fees, cell phone usage, early or late pickup charges, car seats, airport tax, Wi-Fi, additional stops, waiting time, cleaning fees, interior or exterior damage, traveling with excessive luggage, golf clubs, skis, boxes, oversized items, and other surcharges that cannot be calculated prior to service are not included in the estimate.

Limitation of Liability

A1 Limousines shall not be liable in any event or for any reason, including breach of this agreement, either directly or indirectly, to the other party or any third party for any special, indirect, incidental, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages or loss of profits arising out of this agreement, even if such damages were foreseeable or A1 Limousines had been advised of the possibility of such damages.

General Terms and Safety

A1 Limousines and its affiliates reserve the right to cancel any service without refund if the chauffeur or office feels that the renting party or any member of the renting party is endangering the rest of the party and/or if the renting party is in possession of illegal substances. Absolutely no sexual activity will be tolerated in the vehicle, and no minors will be allowed to possess alcohol or illegal substances. In such cases, the service will be canceled without refund. There are no exceptions. A1 Limousines assumes no responsibility for circumstances beyond its control, including weather, road conditions, and breakdowns. The company also assumes no responsibility for lost or damaged baggage or personal belongings, nor for any items left in the vehicle. A1 Limousines reserves the right to charge a delivery fee for returning lost items. The fee will be equal to the rate of an airport transfer to your location, plus a 20% service fee.

Other

Customers and their guests agree to conduct themselves in an orderly and well-behaved manner. A1 Limousines reserves the right to expel any person from the vehicle and terminate service without refund if disrespect, lewd conduct, objectionable behavior, or harassment occurs. Customers acknowledge that by using the vehicle and employing A1 Limousines, they accept all terms and conditions listed in this agreement.

Disclaimer

Rates are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. A1 Limousines and its Affiliate Network cannot be held responsible for any delays due to traffic, emergency road closures, or adverse weather conditions beyond our control.

Copyrights, Trademarks, and Ownership

All content on the site, including software scripts and applets, is owned by A1 Limousines. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, or services obtained from the site without the written permission of A1 Limousines. You should assume that everything you see or read on the site is copyrighted unless otherwise noted.

Termination of Service

Upon determining that any of the above policies have been violated, A1 Limousines may terminate service to the client and shall be deemed to have fulfilled its contractual obligations to the client under the agreement.
